“Announcing Tiny Core Linux 7.2 – The Smallest OS with Big Improvements”

The development team behind the Tiny Core project proudly presents the latest release of Tiny Core Linux 7.2, ready for immediate download. This release may not have major changes, but it’s been a speedy development cycle as the distribution entered the Release Candidate stage just last week on June 24. As a bonus, the final version carries over all the changes made in the single RC build, making it a more polished and efficient OS for your server or barebone needs.
So, what’s new in the latest Tiny Core Linux 7.2? The ondemand feature gets an upgrade in the tc-functions script, allowing for better argument passing and quoting. Furthermore, passing arguments to ondemand items without a .desktop file is now supported. In addition, ondemand will no longer start by itself, while the “clear” command has been relocated from the tc-config script to the end of the rcS script. Keep in mind, these modifications were accidentally omitted from the previous core build.
Tiny Core Linux comes in various editions – Core, Core Plus and Tiny Core – for both 64-bit and 32-bit hardware, with the exception of Core Plus, which is compatible with x86 platforms only. Experience the power of Tiny Core Linux 7.2 today, available for download on our website.
